Historisches Wein- & Heimatmuseum Kobern-Gondorf

In the castle von der Leyen, originally the only moated castle on the Moselle, the Kultur- und Heimatverein Gondorf e.V. has created a wine museum, which gives the visitor an insight into the historical wine-growing and cellar equipment that was used on the Lower Moselle. The museum also includes a vinotheque where wines from the various vineyards of Kobern-Gondorf can be found and tasted. Guided tours and wine tastings are available throughout the year by appointment for groups of eight or more. Furthermore, in the wine and local history museum Gondorf, historical village facilities of the last century can be seen in various rooms: a hairdresser's salon, a cobbler's workshop, a classroom, a music room, a sewing and tailoring room and an electric room with the history of the first electric power station of the Moselle and much more. The museum of local history shows everyday life and the working world on the Moselle in the 19th and early 20th centuries. The entrance is free. Parking: directly in front of the wine and local history museum on the von-der-Leyen-Platz.
