The castle bus, line 330 of the Rhine-Mosel transport company, starts at the railway station Treis-Karden at the Mosel making its way upwards to the Eifel. Among other stations it stops at Castle Pyrmont and Castle Eltz: a perfect journey to, for example, the starting point for a hike on the Way of St. James provided by the hiking organization Eifelverein, which connects the two castles with each other, or on the dream paths Eltzer Burgenpanorama) (Germany’s most beautiful hiking trail 2013) and the Pyrmont Felsensteig (Germany’s most beautiful hiking trail 2015).

As a RadBus the castle bus is equipped for taking bicycles along and thus also connects the Mosel Cycle Track with the Maifeld Cycling and Walking Track.

From the 1st of May to the 31st of October the castle bus shuttles 4 times a day on weekends and on holidays. It also stops in the Mosel villages Müden, Moselkern and Hatzenport as well as in Münstermaifeld with its historical city centre.
